Definition of “Diet”
When I refer to a “diet”, it simply means the food you eat. It is not synonymous with restriction. In fact, you will eat a lot!
Foods are not good or bad.
I don’t believe in nor encourage entire food groups to be eliminated from your diet. It is completely unrealistic and unsustainable to think you’ll never eat bread again.
Don’t like it? Don’t eat it!
Unpopular opinion: I H A T E cottage cheese in it’s “natural” state aka right from the container. So, I don’t eat it. You don’t have to eat things you dislike or give up things you love!
You get out what you put in.
This will only work if you are fully honest with yourself and with me. I’m not looking for perfection — just consistency. Don’t let perfect be the enemy of great!
We’re human. We mess up!
Family holiday? Promotion at work? That’s amazing! You deserve to enjoy life and celebrate! What you should not do is punish yourself the next day by restricting your intake.
I am not a doctor.
As a nutrition coach, I have to work within my scope of practice. There may be reasons where I would refer you to your physician.
