FAQ

How do I get started?

Fill out the form on my Contact Me page and let me know whether you’d like help choosing a program or if you’ve already selected one. I’ll reach out to answer any questions and/or schedule an onboarding call. Before the onboarding call, you’ll need to sign a liability waiver and submit payment ($300 for the preset program or $175 for the flexible program).

What are macros?

Macros, short for macronutrients, are the nutrients your body needs in large amounts to function, perform, and recover. They include protein, carbohydrates, and fats, each playing a vital role in supporting energy levels, muscle growth, metabolism, and overall health. Understanding and balancing your macros helps create a sustainable, personalized approach to nutrition that supports your fitness and wellness goals.

What can a nutrition coach do?

A nutrition coach can provide nutrition education, general guidance, and behavior-change support. This includes calorie and macro estimates, portion education, label reading, grocery guidance, diet discussions, body composition testing, and general supplement education.

What can’t a nutrition coach do?

A nutrition coach can’t prescribe meal plans, medications, supplements, or exercise programs; diagnose or treat medical conditions or eating disorders; provide therapy; recommend extreme practices (detoxes, cleanses); or override medical advice.

Is nutrition coaching medical care?

No. Nutrition coaching is educational and supportive, not medical or therapeutic.

Is my information private?

Yes. I keep everything we discuss during your onboarding call and the duration of your program private. Only I have access.

Can I still drink alcohol?

Yes! If you’re working on a macro-based plan, just make sure to track it. I will never push changes that are unsustainable for you. I personally do not drink and am happy to answer questions/share my own experiences if you are curious.

Something changed medically. Do I need to tell you?

Absolutely. As part of my ethical responsibilities, I need to be aware of and adhere to any medical guidance. There may be instances where nutrition coaching may no longer be the right fit.

What are your thoughts on body composition testing?

I personally think it can be a great tool, especially if body composition is part of your goal. In my experience, an InBody scan is typically the most accessible and affordable option. This may cost ~$50, but can be a great way to measure progress.

Will I track my food forever?

No! If you like it and it works for you, then by all means do. For most, this is not sustainable. Doing this for a few months will foster accountability, allow you to understand visually how to achieve your goals and nutritional needs and be able to build a balanced plate without tracking in the future. Reminder that tracking food is a form of data gathering. If you feel that this causes you to be hyper-aware and leads to unhealthy behaviors or an unhealthy relationship with food, please talk to me and we can work together to find what works best for YOU.

Supplements: Where do you stand with them?

Per my scope of practice, I cannot recommend supplements or quantities to take. I can share information on supplements to provide facts that empower you to make the best decisions in conjunction with your doctor. If you’re interested, reach out to me directly for more information.
